Vintage World Globe

Old metal globe from the 1930s. On the base are the months of the year and signs of the zodiac. It stands 10" high and is 7 1/2" in diameter. There are air flight maps (Lindberg NYC to Pairs flight , Graf Zeppelin world flight and other important flights of the era.) Tin litho image in good vintage condition; there is a small dent on Persia (it was not yet called Iran) and about where Montana is. Possibly made by Ohio Art Co., but no maker marked.

This globe has a liberal amount of rust as shown in the pictures - a charming decorative piece, but not primo. You can still see the countries and most of the writing, but the base, Antarctica and part of the Pacific Ocean have rusted.
