Traditionally, Tarot Cards are wrapped in a silk cloth while not in use.
This silk cloth is then spread over the reading area before the cards are used.

The silk will help to keep the energy clear in and around your cards...as well as keeping them clean when you lay out a spread.

Silk has been used traditionally for laying out under, and for wrapping, most Divination tools...such as Scrying Bowls, Scrying Mirrors, Crystal Balls...and many others.

I have been hand dying silk cloths for tarot for many years. For Tarot, I use 22"x22". This is large enough for laying out most spreads, and will easily wrap any deck.
I used fiber reactive dyes which will not bleed onto your cards or other fabrics. They may be washed by hand with a very mild soap, rinse very well, and lay flat to dry. It is alright to toss them into a dryer for a few minutes to loosen and soften the fibers if you feel to.
This silk is dyed with a light misty green. In the daylight or candle light, you will see the shimmery pale green highlights...and in indirect light, the misty blue-greens of a foggy misty day will show.

This listing is for One Hand Dyed Mist Green Silk...tarot cards and other props not included.
Before they are sent to you, they are cleansed in the ways I was taught by my great grandmother.

***If you are looking for a Chemo scarf, please convo me to discuss, and for custom colours. I fully support any one going through the chemo process, and will do what I can to help.

Frequently asked questions about NewMoonTarot

We are open to lay away, holding an item for you as a reserved listing (until the date we all agree on)...and will trade with other Etsy shop owners. Please don't be afraid to ask :)
We live far from the post office, and will make the trip in to drop off all packages once or twice per week. Usually Mondays, and sometimes I make the second run in on Thursdays. This trip takes me hours, so I cannot go every day. I see in my feedback, people say either it was the fastest shipping they have ever seen, or they feel the shipping took too long. I hope this clarifies things for everyone.

All of our USA shipments are made via Standard USPS, with a tracking number, and insurance as needed. If you prefer another shipping method, please contact us, and we can make arrangements with you.
International buyers, we will adjust the shipping costs to the actual amount prior to your purchase, if you contact us with the shipping address. If you do not contact us, then we will refund any discrepancy in the shipping cost.

I ship ALL international packages via USPS, with the CN-22 tracking information sent to you at the time of shipping. You or I, may track your package until it leaves the US. I cannot be responsible for packages lost or withheld by customs in your country, and cannot replace these items.
If your package does not arrive, I will re-send the tracking information to you, and you will need to contact your customs office, to be sure it is not being held there. They may require a copy of your invoice, which I will glad
All custom orders are final sales.

We do ask if anyone returns something, that they please send a detailed note with the item, letting us know why. Our craftmanship is very important to us, so we would like to know.

We do not generally give refunds, but we may consider it, depending on the situation
Returned items will typically be considered as Store Credit.
Colors may vary from monitor to monitor as well as silk to silk. Because our silks are hand dyed, the dye takes differently each time so each silk is slightly unique. If you have any questions about the color of our current silks, feel free to send us a message. :)
We measure our silks before the dying process to make sure they are 22" x 22". However, sometimes the silks can shrink during this process and size may vary up to 1.5 inches.
