Color photo illustration showing 3 shells from the Indian Ocean. This is an actual page from an antique encyclopedia volume, "The New Student's Reference Work," published in Chicago in 1909. Edited by Chandler B. Beach. The discarded book was missing its covers, was falling apart, and was separated from its original set, but I was able to rescue a few of the lovely illustrations.

Size: Page is approximately 9-3/8 x 6-1/2 inches. Reverse is blank.

Condition issues: Stains and soiling in margins; light waviness; remnants of binding glue on left side edge; noticeable age-tanning.

This beautiful natural history specimen photo illustration would look great framed. Wonderful wall decor for beach cottage or bathroom! Also useful for collage or other art or science projects.
