This gorgeous treasure is one of my own pieces, it was part of a wealthy French Paris Estate that I purchased many years ago, and as I have an immense love of French garments I had to hang on to this one as it is so beautiful and obviously very loved as the condition is excellent for its almost 100 years. It is gently wearable and cuts a fine shilouette when worn, the fabric is supple and shapes beautfiully. The bust is decorated with fine french lace ruffles and 3 silk embroidered roses, the ruffled layers continue to the elbow length sleeves and which are beautfiully detailed. The blouse is lined in fine French Cotton and it retains its beautiful original white with only one tiny tear to the inside front lower waist lining measuring approx 1/2 inch. I could not find any other damage upon close inspection however I may have missed a tiny hole or two (I went over this piece 4 times). I try to find an excuse to keep it, but alas I will never fit it after my baby unless I wear a corset. It does up the back with metal hooks and eyes and has sweet antique buttons with cotton lining button holes, there appears to be a button hole missing to the upper section, but I may have done it up wrong or missed additional hooks either way it would be very easily to insert the button hole as the original button is there, it possible this piece has never been worn and hence unfinished. It measures bust 34 inches, waist 26 inches, arm width 14 inches, and length 20 inches.
