Five Little Red Schoolhouses Wall Hanging

Every Friday during the winter, I join a group of women at a one room schoolhouse in a historical village where we hand quilt. This little wall hanging depicts the many one room schoolhouses that children attended throughout the country sides. Kept warm by a pot belly stove or fireplace. The schoolhouse also served as a town church or community meeting center. Our schoolhouse has electricity installed and is the only heated building in the village.
Made with my favorite civil war colors and backed in muslin with a sleeve on the back for hanging. The blocks measure 4" each with an overall size of 18 1/2" square.
Made in my smoke free studio overlooking the Rocky Mountains.
