Wooden spatula for taking cookies out of the oven carved from quarter sawn White Oak.. It is 12 inches long with a 3 inch wide blade and an angled handle to clear the sides of the pan. The White Oak is hard and durable to stand up to daily use. It is a medium brown color with lighter ray fleck figure on the radial faces of the wood. The front edge is thin enough to cut cornbread in the pan or slide right under cookies fresh out of the oven. If you've never used a wooden spatula then you don't know what you are missing. Will not damage your expensive pans. Finished with beeswax and mineral oil. This spatula has been "pre-washed". The grain was raised multiple times with water in the finishing so it will remain smooth and not get fuzzy in use.

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil or walnut oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of our spoon oil finish which is Beeswax and mineral oil. A 4 oz. jar lasts for a long time and it will help to keep your utensils looking and feeling good for many years.
