What a fabulous piece! The mod cape has wonderful style and an older tag from Neiman Marcus. Although there is no other tag I suspect the piece originally had a designer tag as well. There is no size given so please use your judgment and the measurements provided. The "model" (me, being a goofball) is 5' 5" wearing 2" heels. As with most capes, they tend to swallow you if you are not tall, or, wearing heels or both. I would guess this would fit a medium to large size best and would look best on someone at least 5' 5" or taller. Of course, you are welcome to it if you do not fall into that range! I am just giving my opinion. The cape has undefined shoulders so please, please do not write to me and ask me what the shoulder measurements are unless you explain exactly how you'd like me to take those measurements!

Measurements (taken flat) are:

Shoulders estimated at 16"/17" for best fit
across at arm-holes: 33"
sweep across bottom: 58"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 39"

The story with this cape is that it had been improperly stored when I found it and was very yellowed. I made the decision to handwash the yellow out of it which included a white vinegar and water bath as well as Oxy soak. I was able to remove just about every little bit of the yellowing except the very center of the left side of the collar which has some slight discoloration at the middle (I tried to photograph this but it will not really photograph. It is there, not dark, faint, but there). The body of the cape is bright white with deep black piping trim and buttons.
Although I only handwashed in cold water, the fabric (which is unmarked but feels like a heavy treated cotton) must have shrunk a wee bit so that the lining now hangs an inch beyond the cape hem at the back. This is an easy fix for anyone handy. (to take up the lining slightly) I d not trust my seamstress skills so it is sold as-is. The collar has snaps that allow it to wrap tightly if chosen. One is missing but as you can see it still secures properly. Each arm hole has some slight tearing at the outside opening which is common to capes as this is where stress is put onto them when worn. This cannot be seen when worn, is minimal, and could be repaired and strengthened if you chose.

Even with all those little issues noted, you can see that this is one FABULOUS 1960's mod cape! If it were mint I'd ask more, but, given the condition I priced accordingly. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
