I made a scrunchy from a new Tenugui fabric. It was used three dyes, pink, blue and "Ai" navy.
The most traditional Tenugui is mostly dyed in one colour on white base, such as Ai indigo, brown, red, or other traditional colours. Pink and blue used Tenugui looks very mondern.

Although it is used modern dyes, the motif is very traditional. Sakura (Cherry) blossoms shapes are flowed on white high quality Sarashi (bleached) cotton.
The third image is the upside down of the second image. Pink shades have white small Sakura flowers.

Cotton is easy to handle. You can wash by your hand or I think you can use washing machine too.
For the first few times, however, I would like to recommend you to use very small drips of soap to stay the colours. This fabric is stayed for a long time after being dyed.I think it is not easy to be discoloured. But please do not leave it on other clothing while it is wet.

Thank you for your dropping by!
I wish my Sakura scrunchie will bring you a full of blossoms!!
