I haven't been able to find a translation for this (what I believe to be) Polish, Russian, Czech?embroidered cloth banner.

It seems like a wedding gift based on the two angels joined at the top and the lovebirds at the bottom. What is not in question is the lovely handiwork of this unknown folk artist. Such beautiful needlework and delicate hand stitching.

IT is in beautiful shape, no stains, rips or tears. Has one buttonhole in each corner to easily hang on a wall or as a banner. I know this had a prominent position in someone's home at one time and I hope that it will once again!

If anyone can read what this says, I would love to know!*

Measures 34 1/2" x 19 1/2" on cotton cloth stitched with embroidery thread.

* I was told the words at the bottom are most likely Czech and it reads "For God and Nation" at the top and "Homemade Blessing" at the bottom. Now I love it even more!
