This would be a functional dress. The long skirt would protect her legs. With short or long sleeves she could make it for the spring or fall. The pockets would hold those odds and ends she seemed to collect over the day. The short sleeve has some interesting button detail so it wouldn't be a total bore to sew and wear. Yes, she would give it a try.

Pattern Description: Simplicity 3185 "Misses' and Women's One-Piece Dress: Gathers at the forward shoulder seams and waistline release fullness in the bodice of the front-buttoned dress. A pointed yoke and deep inverted pleat are features of the bodice back. Buttoned flap-trimmed pockets trim the bodice and skirt which has a deep inverted pleat in back. Style 1 has long sleeves finished with pointed wristbands. Style 2 has short sleeves which are open at the sides and have a button closing."

Condition: Envelope has wear around top opening and bottom is full of holes. Size is marked in pink ink on back. Pattern is complete, cut and printed. Instruction sheet is present.
