1970 vintage stained glass lighting fixture, gold, amber, cream colors, petal shape swag light shade, stained glass hanging ceiling pendant lamp. There is a large bulb that came in it. The bulb still works but I don't know for how long it will. This size bulb is available in stores.
Swag lamps are overhead lighting elements that require only a nearby wall outlet and a ceiling hook. Usually this type of lamp's cord dangles decoratively between the ceiling hooks from which the cord hangs. This dangling section is called a "swag."
Swag lighting fixtures are pendant or hanging lights positioned from the ceiling using simple hooks. Not only is the location of the lights flexible, the height of the fixture can be quickly adjusted by simply hooking the fixture chain on a higher chain link. These design options make swag-hanging lights a good option, particularly in rooms with no ceiling light fixtures.
Hang your swag light at the desired height from the ceiling. Place the chain from your swag light into the first swag hook. Attach the chain into the second swag hook, about a foot out away from the fixture, allowing a length of chain to "swag" between the two hooks. Let the balance of the chain hang down the wall and plug the swag light into the wall outlet. Measure out from the wall to find where you want the light to hang down from the ceiling... to judge how much chain and wire will be needed and measure down to the wall outlet. Swags work very well in corners...you can run the cord/wiring down the corner and along a baseboard to an outlet. The cord/wiring running down the corner wall can be hidden with channeled molding or half round cord tube covering. Great for apartments and you can take you lighting with you when you move!
The chain and wiring measure about 4 yards and 33 in. long - [12 feet and 33 in.]
Plug on cord for plugging into an outlet. There is NO ceiling cap.
There is a on/off switch on the cord...works fine. Like New porcelain socket. Wiring is Good.

The shade measures - 13 in. wide ... 10 1/2 in. tall. No cracks or chips or scratches.
The glass on this shade is very good...attractive light when hanging.

I sell used items, As Is. I will email more pictures and be as open about the item as I can, disclosing all that I have done to repair an item and all replaced parts that I have installed. The electric Lights need to be examined and Installed by a Qualified Electrician to be sure they are wired to code. Proper wattage bulbs should be used in these fixtures...usually not over 60 watt for single lighting and for cluster or multiple sockets no more than 40 watts in each socket. Be sure to check this out with the electrician that installs you lighting.
