Gorgeous mid-century train case from Samsonite in a rich, "Saddle Tan" reddish-brown. The piece is in excellent condition for its age. There are few and faint scuffs on the exterior from abnormally light use, in my opinion. The case is in much butter shape than most I've seen. There are some faint stains on the inside bottom of the case, one being the outline of a pair of sewing scissors, probably rust. Otherwise, the interior is in like-new condition and practically shines. No tears, no smells, very clean. The mirror is intact, slightly antiqued around its edges, held in place on the interior lid by its original acrylic straps. There is one large interior pocket and 3 compartment pockets. The elastic on all is like new. The brass fixtures have normal age patina but no corrosion.

I believe the style is Royal Traveller, made in the 1950s. The case measures 13" wide x 8.5" tall (without the handle), and 7" deep. Unfortunately no tray or key, otherwise it's close to perfect, definitely gorgeous.

30 years as a vintage collector and hours of additional research help me to do my best to accurately describe and identify items before listing. Please feel free to share additional information if you have knowledge about a particular item - I love to learn. And if you're not happy with an item you can always contact me to work out a solution.

I ship internationally. Please contact me for a personalized shipping quote.

I love sending my items as gifts - let me know if you'd like wrapping or a personal gift card.

My preferred method of sending and receiving money is Amazon Payments (www.amazonpayments.com). It works instantly via email like PayPal, only is a much smoother transaction with NO FEES! All you need is your regular account with Amazon.com, and to have a United States bank account. I'm also accepting PayPal temporarily, but if you're in the US Amazon is way better. :)

Thanks!
