Mid Century Poole Delphis Freeform Plate Designed By Carolyn Bartlett

Poole's Delphis pottery from the mid 1960's is renowned for its experimental and abstract approach. This unique piece, designed by Caroly Bartlett, is an incredible example of the Delphis aesthetic, and is closer to a great work of Modern Art than a piece of dinnerware. Featuring a Modernist freeform design, hand painted by Bartlett (who designed for Poole form 1962-1965), this piece is a beautiful maelstrom of color and line, presenting a truly one of a kind Modernist experience. This piece is marked with Bartlett's signature, though no number is present, meaning it was most likely a one off a kind piece. In excellent condition, there is no wear whatsoever visible on the dish. The textures on this dish are absolutely incredible, and it is easily one of our favorite examples of the Modern aesthetic we've ever found. Measuring 6" long and 6.5" wide at the top, this piece would look stunning on display. Perfect for any fan of Modernism, this Poole Delphis piece is sure to become the centerpiece of any collection.
