A pair of handmade niobium wire hoop earrings in a simple pointed style and stunning ombré tones of gold, pink, fuchsia and purple – a comfortable and bright accessory!

I formed, hammered, and anodized these from niobium wire, flattening the gently pointed bottom of the hoops so they would showcase the brilliant color range. The colors shine and glimmer in a way that photos can hardly capture.

I've made these as a simpler alternative to my hand-anodized niobium chainmaille earrings, for those who prefer lightweight styles. Niobium is wonderfully comfortable and hypoallergenic. I use niobium hoops for daily wear much of the time because I can barely feel they're on!

The color comes from an oxide layer on the niobium, formed through an electrochemical process known as anodizing, wherein the metal's surface reacts with an applied voltage. There is no dye involved. Plus, niobium is hypoallergenic – including the colorful oxide layer – so those with metal allergies can safely wear it.

Listing is for one pair (2 pieces).

Measurements, approx:
Just over 3/4" high (21mm)
5/8" at widest (17mm)
20 gauge thickness (0.8mm)
Shown with a quarter for scale comparison.

** If you'd prefer a different size, gauge, or color, just convo me and I'd be happy to make a custom pair for you! **
