This 'Gemini Garden Pair' are small but mighty - ready to knock yer sox off - getting you outside in the glowing potential of 2012 - especially in the garden! The pair of old hand blown Japanese collectibles are little guys, often referred to as 'golf ball' size among float collectors. One is in a light aqua, the color of a refreshing waterfall. The other is a rich Mediterranean olive.

The floats show normal surface wear, evidencing their many decades of service and challenge at sea. The aqua measures 2-1/4" diameter (the glass itself), with the olive slightly smaller at 2-1/8" diameter. Including the width of their nets, each measures approximately 7-1/8" in circumference.

The nets show natural wear, again from decades of work, yet remain tight and intact, in good condition. They're presentable as is but for further cleaning, I'd recommend a damp Q-tip can be taken to detail around the tines of their nets. No need to immerse them or use a toothbrush! The floats show lovely tiny champagne bubbling. The aqua has some 'geometric drag lines' on its surface, generally caused by a sharp object or piece of glass that got dragged about on its surface during the process of glass blowing.

Both seal 'buttons have been well placed and show the usual imperfections to the surround edges to be expected after decades of hard work. They're in very good shape, showing the odd bit of grazing here and there to the edges. Study them in especially photos #1 and #5. This pair of sweethearts deserve the best home. They will charm your days, glowing from a window sill, or other area near the light. In bright sunlight, you'll have fun watching the colorful shadows dance! A heart full of thanks to the brilliance of the Japanese culture and their legacy in the old sea arts!

Thank you for helping to care for vintage fishing floats which are rapidly being replaced with plastic or synthetic floats.

SHIPPING: Happy to offer Priority shipping for this float. It will be boxed with extra insulation for protection while in transit. The cost is $9.50. This includes your tracking number and insurance. It will be packed with absolute care. *** Please allow 1 to 3 days to ship and 2 to 3 days for the carrier. You should receive it in a week or less. If you need it quicker, tell me and I’ll ship it fast! ***

COMBINED SHIPPING: Yes - I will combine! Floats of generally similar size & weight can be combined so you save on shipping. These decisions are made at the actual time of packing, using my best judgment to keep items safe from damage in transit, protecting them maximally. Best option is to pay the shipping on each item up front. A shipping refund will be issued promptly via Paypal when your parcels are complete. My customers will confirm I am happy to do this. If this doesn’t work for you, convo for a ‘guesstimate’ on combined shipping of items.

CANADA: USPS has omitted insurance from the economy (1st Class International) shipping category. Priority International is the next best available method yet not cost effective in my opinion, unless purchasing two or three items & combining shipping. Please convo for a quote if interested. My sincere apologies!
