I turned this piece on the wheel out of recycled stoneware clay into a loose and comfortable tea bowl. It has a fresh and relaxed quality to it.

The glaze fluctuates from white to light blue to light pink, and reminds me of early morning mist as it evaporates in the early pink light of day. It was dipped once in a local clay slip, and once in a fluid, runny glaze leaving a frozen waterfall of subtle variations after I fired it to cone 6. The inside is glazed white so you can clearly appreciate the color of your drink.

Approximately 3.5 inches tall by 5 inches diameter.

A beautiful and simple bowl that feels great in the hands.
