What a creation to grace a vintage wedding gown!

Magnificent mint condition1940's jewelry brooch carved from a single piece of material, with a trade name of Featherlite. Featherlight, Bubblelite

Carved swirls and flowers with a white rhinestone center, with a center band of rhinestones.

Many refer to this as celluloid, but is probably closer to Meerschuam. If it IS celluloid, it would not be Meerschaum, as celluloid is flammable, and Meerschaum, a natural mineral, is used to make pipes. Pipes would not be a good application for a flammable substance!

Very light weight, but substantial looking. This is postwar Japanese jewelry, from what we know, and it makes sense, as metal was not available to make jewelry, so they used other items.

Almost 2" wide.

Mint condition. Carving marks on reverse.

Paypal only.
