Psyche and Cupid

Psyche glimpsing Cupid for the first time, the moment before a drop of hot oil fell from the lamp, woke him, and he banished Psyche from his palace.

Suitable for framing.

Lovely monochrome lithographic illustration book plate, originally a woodcut, taken from a 1931 edition of a history of book illustration.

The print is single-sided (no text on the verso) and on medium-weight, cream paper with intense black printing. Very light, barely perceptible, creasing, as seen on scan.

The size of the paper is 20 x 28 cm or 8 x 11 ins, approximately.
Print size, not counting annotation: 19 x 12 cm or 7.5 x 4.5 inches approximately.

Your print will be placed inside a polythene bag, packed securely in a cardboard-backed envelope with extra card/paper, and posted via airmail if overseas. All prints, whether antique, vintage or modern should be protected from exposure to direct sunlight.
