These wee Cairns are another transformation of my Cairn series. The smallest of my Cairn pendants, these humble stacks are dear to me. I've been a stone stacker for years, but typically in the garden, at the beach, on a trail, in the woods... My habit of stone stacking finally found it's way to my work table.

Throughout the ages and found in many cultures Cairns have been used for centuries as path markers and landmarks. My Cairns are inspired by such stacks and I like to think that they can serve as reminders for the wearer of the power and guidance from within and without that is ever available to us.

These Cairns are created using really lovely natural Turquoise, a favorite of mine. On this five stone stack the largest rough cut green stone on the bottom is 11mm wide by 8mm at it's thickest point. The thin lovely blue Turquoise disc above it is a striking contrast. The pairing of the stocky, rounded green stone with the thin blue disc is so pleasing to me. The Cairn is topped by two unique rondelles and stopped by a simple Lapis Rondel. The Cairn is a total of 22mm tall.

The Cairn hangs from an 20" waxed cotton 1.5mm cord. The clasp is a sterling spring clasp.
