Part of the "Vision Series", this brown eye is inspired by some wood panels found in my dad's old workshop. I painted this painting on one of his hand cut panels. (templates he used when making his handmade wooden boxes).

The panel was first gessoed, then acrylic was applied to the backs and edges. The edges were then covered in genuine silver leaf in a distressed manner. The painting is in oil. Tiny eye hooks were screwed in and an antique rustic wire was added for hanging. A specially designed ROSEWORX certificate was then glued to the back upon completion showing title and number among other details.

This painting measures 5.5" x 4.625" x .25"

Color is most accurate in the first four images shot in natural light.

The fourth photograph shows all 4 together comparatively stacked inside my dad's old brush box, where I store my paints now.
