This rare, highly collectible find features a pressed glass design identical to the famous collectible "banjo bottles" produced by the Southern New Jersey Glass company of Millville, New Jersey and other similar American companies around the 1930s and 1940s, however, as you can see, it is not a bottle.

It is my best guess that this piece is intended for use as a pipe rest, but it could certainly used as a catch-all tray for jewelry, as a suncatcher, or simply as a wonderful vintage decoration. This would make a lovely Mother's Day or Father's Day gift, and a stunning addition to any vintage glass or banjo bottle collector.

The piece is in good condition with no chips, but it does have one hairline crack, which is barely visible as you can see from the photos. It measures about 5.5".
