Vera Neumann was one of the 20th century's most important painters and designers. She was influenced by many subjects and artist peers of her time.

This vintage beauty strikes me as influenced by Piet Mondrian, a Dutch artist who founded the movement of "Neo-Plasticism." You've seen his paintings... vertical and horizontal dark lines and primary colours.

This scarf is a great example of Vera's scientific period of the mid 1960's. In this work of silk art, rectangles and cubes dance in a geometric blocks of color - golden yellow, emerald and jade greens, and light lavender purple. Contrasting hems in contrasting green tailor the look.

Measures 25" square... a perfect size for an elegant knot at your neck, a sassy tie around your purse strap, an unusual wristlet, or a retro wrap around your ponytail.

No tag. Made in Japan with either pure silk or Vera's famous blend of silk and rayon. Hand or machine washable in cold water, mild soap. Hang dry is best. Perfect for busy moms, vacations, or business trips - when you want high-style with low maintenance!

Lovely vintage condition... a few minor spots and a pull adjust the price but do little to detract from the beauty.
