This premium handcrafted guitar pick was shaped & sanded independently, it features a concave rough sanded thumb groove on each side to ensure a firm grip, & to also give the pick an incredible feel of control. This pick measures approx. 1-1/4"or 31 mm long X just over 1" or 26 mm wide, it is about 2.7 mm thick at the thickest part of the pick, but feels & plays thinner due to the thumb grooves on each side, the pick tapers down to a thickness of about 1 mm at the tip, & was designed with the guitarist in mind for comfort & playability, this pick is treated with a special oil blend, for lasting protection I let the pick soak in the oil to ensure that the pick is deeply penetrated, I then rub in a natural bees wax paste for a smooth & silky finish, while the concave sanded thumb grooves keep their grip for comfort & control, & if you perspire or moisten your finger tips, it will actually improve your grip. It may take a while to get used to playing with a wooden pick, but every guitar player that I know, simply can't live without their hardwood guitar picks. So why not take your guitar playing to new extremes, with the true tones that my handmade Artisan wood picks employ...They also make excellent gifts! Thanks for looking!
COCOBOLO ROSEWOOD - Dalbergia Retusa
The tree is Native to, Mexico, Central America, and areas of northern South America.
A true Rosewood, Cocobolo is one of the finest and most beautifully figured woods in the world. It comes in many shades and colors. It is a rosewood that usually has a fair amount of natural oil in the wood. The heartwood is typically orange or reddish-brown in color, often with a figuring of darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. The sapwood (not often used) is a creamy yellow, with a sharp boundary with the heartwood. The heartwood is known to change color after being cut, lending to its appeal. It is very hard, fine textured and dense, but is easily machined, definitely one of the worlds most adored & sought after woods.
