Partial tea service by Upsala Ekeby, comprising four cups and saucers, a cream pitcher and covered sugar bowl. Each earthenware piece has a ribbed body and black transfer-printed design at the rim. The pattern name is ‘Louise’, made 1955-1957.

Each cup measures 2 inches high, 3 ⅜ inches diameter; saucer is 5 inches diameter. Cream jug measures 3 ⅜ inches high, sugar bowl is 3 ¾ inches high, 3 ⅞ inches diameter. Printed marks on the underside of each piece.

Overall condition is good, with no chips or cracks. The sugar bowl has considerable crazing and staining to one side of the lid and a bit more staining on the inside of the rim of the bowl. The teacups also have some crazing on the interiors and saucers on the underside. There are some small skips in the transfer printing.

**I will also include a fifth teacup and saucer--the saucer has had a thumb-sized section broken out and glued back into place, and the teacup has a tiny loss to the glaze at the handle.

I have an Upsala Ekeby large breakfast cup in the Lillemor pattern in my shop--check it out here:
