≈Description≈
This is a beautiful handmade pale yellow textured wool coat with a matching bonnet from the 1950s. The large round collar is trimmed with ivory and cornflower blue stitching as are the cuffs on the sleeves. On the left portion of the bodice is an ivory and cornflower blue "corsage" made from satin ribbon, yarn and silk flowers. The coat fastens down the front with an amazing row of decorative mother of buttons. The coat is lined with pale yellow satin fabric and on the lower left side of the inside is a small pocket with the name "Susan" embroidered in blue thread with an embroidered brown, tan and green duckling below the name. The matching bonnet's brim and back is also trimmed with ivory and cornflower stitching and there is there also a row of ivory stitching down the top center of the bonnet. On the left side of the bonnet is another "corsage" or cluster of flowers which is exactly like the one on the bodice of the coat. The bonnet is also lined with pale yellow satin fabric and on the back inside of the bonnet are two embroidered images: A light blue, teal, pink and yellow butterfly and a yellow, pink and ivory bunny rabbit. The chin strap is made from the same wool fabric as the coat and buttons under your little one's chin with a beautiful mother of pearl button. This coat is approximately size 12 months however, please see measurements below for correct fit.

≈Additional Information≈
There are a few minor wear spots on the coat and bonnet: There are two wear spots just above the corsage on the coat which are 1.4 inches in length which I have attempted to mend. Also, on the collar and the bonnet there is a small section where the ivory stitching is missing due to wear. This white stitching can most likely be replaced by someone skilled in hand sewing. This coat is one of two that was lovingly handmade for a little girl named Susan in the 1950s.
