Here is a very unique and rare scalloped-edge enamel locket from the Art Deco era. This is a very feminine locket, and the flowers on the front are hand-painted. Due to the machine-tooled design with enamel overlay (this is called guilloche), this is a highly collectable piece, as the machines they used to make jewelry like this are not made anymore. The locket is in good condition, with its original metal photo holders and plastic covers still in place. It is marked "1/20 12K Gold Filled" and "LaMode" on the inside. It has a little tarnish around the metal on the front border around the enamel, on the back, and inside, but there is no chipping or damage to the enamel. Also, even though it is gold filled, the front metal edge around the enamel is more of a silver color, faded with time (this is best seen in the second picture). It opens and closes well and securely, and I have added a new 18" gold filled delicate chain.

The locket measures about 7/8 of an inch long (excluding loop and bale), and just under 3/4 of an inch wide.

Best Vintage/Antique Age Approximation: 1920-1930's. This locket is from a French company, is rare, and was originally sold as a boxed set with a matching guilloche enamel compact (I only was able to acquire the locket though).

*If this is a gift for someone special and you need a pretty silky gift pouch, please leave a note at checkout for me. They are complimentary and I'll include one in your package for each locket you need.

**If you purchase more than one locket at a time, the you pay shipping for the first locket, and any additional you purchase are shipped free :)

Buy with confidence, I value both my customers and my lockets, and if you are not happy I gladly accept returns and exchanges. The lockets I sell are old and sentimental, and each person needs the right match.
