Lay-away available on most dolls- just convo me please.

In very good to excellent condition, this lovely composition Princess Elizabeth from 1938 has the following flaws:

Dress has been dry cleaned & ironed and there's wear to the clothing commensurate with a doll 75 years old- but no holes, tears, dark stains, etc. The undergarments were probably washed.

Crown for this doll is missing though I am attempting to replace it with an original. I do have a replaced tiara for this doll (still in it's original wrappings which you are welcome to if I can not find this doll a correct replacement tiara)

I believe this doll has tin eyes and the whites of the eyes are somewhat yellowed though they have never bothered me.

I see no other problems with this large and rare Elizabeth. The composition on the doll is not cracked, crazed or lifted anywhere though I did not fully undress the entire doll. Doll has a nice blush, great color and lovely brown eyes (Elizabeth as a child actually had blue eyes) . She has a deep blonde human wig in the original set. She has full brush lashes (human hair I think). This doll's dress is tagged Princess Elizabeth. This doll is very large - the 28" size- the largest size Princess Elizabeth that Madame Alexander made.

For the younger Etsy audience, I would explain that this doll represents the present Queen Elizabeth II of England (now 85 years old) as a child. She is in the dress she wore, not for her own coronation in 1952 but for her father's coronation as King George the VI in 1937. She would have been an older child of about 10 or 11 years at the time, but they used this earlier doll with more of a toddler, young child body.

A rare and unusual doll in excellent condition and a must have for the composition collectors of the 30s and 40s.

Domestic shipping- $25 ( will refund or subsidize shipping if it is more or less than quoted.)
