She's a wonderful gown after her 50+ years! Three layers make her a stand-out, beginning with the palest of pink acetate lining. This is followed by a layer of netted tulle with six sewn on tiers of tulle ruffles. The overskirt is a layer of scalloped and ruffled organza ending with an attached layer of frothy, netted tulle.

Dress has side metal zipper and snap attachments for bows. Bows were also safety pinned in some areas by previous owner. A gathered, cumberbund style at waist to below bustline, adds extra support to bodice for a very fitted look. Bodice is boned and even curved at bust.

This dress has issues that I will address. She is being sold in "as is" condition under my "NEEDS TLC" section. Though quite wearable, she has her share of imperfections...

She is grayed from years in poor storage. I have shot her in all backgrounds. Please convo for additional pictures. Discoloration is especially evident around right waist.

Acetate lining is in the palest of pink. Hem shows four small holes measuring from pinhead to largest at 1/4". Some darkness to bottom and pinhead spots, but nothing heavy. Acetate has pulled away from boning on bodice as shown in picture.

The next layer of netted tulle has one small hole, 1/4" toward the middle. Other small 1/8" holes dot part of the under ruffle hem. The tiers of sewn on ruffles manage to hide a horizontal tear and vertical tear on and under one ruffle (both approx. 2" each). Hem is jagged in some areas and could easily be cut even, if you wish.

The top layer shows the most evidence of grayed discoloration. When holding layer to sunlight, I have found some wear marks on three scalloped areas (not holes). There is a minor spot measuring about 1/4" that looks like a vertical tear or wear to delicate fabric.

The bottom layer of attached netting shows the most obvious of wear. Hem is uneven and torn in one place, approx 9.5". There are various holes and tears in netting hem. The smallest is 1/8", to the largest, a 3" vertical tear. Hem has some netting missing from bottom. These measure 1/2" to 3.5", starting from hemline. Could be trimmed, upcycled and repaired.

The bodice and bows are good with only evidence of pinning holes. Metal zipper works well at side. Two hook and eyes add support to closure at top and waist. I have made no repairs to this dress.

I have had a difficult time turning this one away!
She is begging to be rescued and loved yet again!
