These two vintage white linen hand towels each have an amazing applique of a luscious bunch of grapes. Done in lilac and mint green linen, the grapes are beautifully embroidered by hand, and were probably made in Madeira. A small monogram MFO in purple on the green leaves makes a wonderful contrast.

One towel is slightly larger and made of finer linen than the other, and as they both have a few flaws, so why not re-purpose these for some wonderful project?

Made of linen
Measures about 16 x 19 inches (thinner towel); 12 x 18 (thicker towel)
Condition: the thinner towel has one tiny pinhole, broken hemstitching, and worn side hems; the larger towel has two small holes and some worn spots on the grapes (please see last photo; I would embroider over this).

Please remember that vintage items are not new and often not perfect, and that they have had a long life of their own before they entered ours.
