So the new girl in town is Sylvie Beetle, she is a special little girl because she was born with a fairy tooth, sometimes when the woodland whispers are aligned in a certain way the fairies deliver a tooth to a baby instead of collecting teeth. This is what happened to Sylvie, she was born with one fairy tooth in her baby mouth, this means that Sylvie has always been able to hear the woodland whispers and knows all about the hooticorns and other woodland wonders.

Sylvie has a linen body created from my own original design. I create a pattern that gives the size and shape for my doll then I stuff with polyester filling, I mould and shape the doll sometimes stitching and pulling threads through the body until I am happy with the shape and expression. So as with each series of dolls there is a basic shape and similarity that is then sculpted to create each individual character, my process is fluid and always evolving.

Sylvie has felt and embroidered features, pom pom ears, beautiful thick pink yarn hair that was also used to knit her vest which came out lilac. The skirt is vintage fabric with a cute little lion print and yellow pom poms. Her arms and legs are button jointed. In the last picture Sylvie is seen with her friend Gerald the woodland Hoot, available in a separate listing. Sylvie is approx 15" or 38 cm tall.

Sylvie is not suitable for children due to small parts and delicate construction.
