Outstanding vintage Sioux beaded Strike-a-Light pouch features stepped diamond motifs, lovely beaded flap, and bottom fringe with tin cones. It is hand stitched and intricately beaded on soft and supple native tanned doe skin.

The beads are stitched in vertical and horizontal rows lending a framed effect to the design. Seed bead colors include: red white-hearts, turquoise, purple, navy blue, mustard yellow and white. Note the additional, alternating, horizontal and vertical beaded edging in red and navy which extends all the way around the flap and down the sides of the pouch.

Approximately 5.5 inches from top to bottom of pouch (10 inches total with fringe) and 5 inches at widest. Excellent condition, craftsmanship and patina, with absolutely no bead loss. Certificate of Authenticity included.

Strike-a-Light bags were used to carry flint and tinder to start a fire.
