This small deerskin drum was handstretched by a native american, with honor and respect for the animal. Purchased and Painted by myself, Erin Cooper, a wildlife and fantasy artist (not of native american descent). It is aproxamately 6 1/2 inches in diameter across the front of the drum and about 2 in in width. Has a pleasant somewhat high voice when played. Painted with acrylic paints and sprayed with a matte finish to protect the art. Can be played or used as a display peice, although recomend that playing be done on the blank side as to prevent any wear or damage to the art. Small drum beater included.

This Appaloosa horse enjoys the feel of the wind in her mane!

Frequently asked questions about ShadoWind

yes! I spray them many times with a clear matte sealer so they should be safe for playing and for display
I use a reciepe I found online for air dry clay called "papier mache clay" it is a mixture of paper, glue, lindseed oil, and drywall compound. It is a bit sturdier than traditional paper mache, and I think it is easier to sculpt with. The insides are armatures made of wire, tape, crumpled newspaper and cardboard and other various re-used materials.
