My nana used to make these the first day of fall every year. I remember nana toasting them and sitting at the kitchen table with some coffee on a Sunday morning. This recipe converted well to being gluten-free (and vegan should you choose). They are very moist, almost like a mini pumpkin pie in bread form. They come in packs of 4 (they are fairly large), and freeze well for up to 2 weeks.
