Recycled Garden Art and Industrial Home Decor.
Dusty Blue Metal Flower made from rebar, vintage faucet handle found objects. Perfect for an indoor vase or outdoor garden.

This listing is for ONE blue flower shown with other flower as an example.

Dusty Blue Bromeliad, 2012
Approx 26" tall
Flower Approx 2" diameter

This little flower will liven up any home or garden. Many Bromeliads are able to store water in a structure formed by their tightly overlapping leaf base. This particular genus is unusual in that it is instead capable of controlling water flow to outside sources. Varying in color, size and shape, these Bromeliads are perfect for most indoor or outdoor settings.

I have NOT painted the stem with a rust converter (some stems have such beautiful patinas I prefer to leave them be but I will gladly apply it for you if you want it for free. It is a 2 day process which can help protect against rust for awhile, over time rust will come back but you can apply poly on it or more converter. It will darken and shine the stem) Things do fade in the sun so keep in mind this is ART and if you want it to look/last this way a long time protect it!

Frequently asked questions about IndustrialBloom

I am happy to work with you on a flower arrangement. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on how many flowers you want and how involved you want to be in the process.
My work is made from salvaged junk. Most of it is already rusty and shouldn't really be put outside unless you are prepared for more rust to develop (which many people don't mind) I varnish the stems and heads (but not always). If you notice rust you can always lightly sand and re-varnish via spray or brush. I don't advise keeping the flowers outside in harsh weather (winter/freezing/blazing hot etc) as that can destroy them over time both cosmetically and physically. If you want them to last for years and years I advise a covered porch/patio or indoors.
