This pendant necklace is made from 2 lovely pieces of genuine forest green and soft green sea glass

The 21" oxidized copper chain has a hook and eye clasp. The duo glass pendant measures 2" in length. I have worn this chain throughout the summer and can attest that the oxidized copper does not turn my neck green.

Sea Glass takes at least 40-60 years to form naturally tumbling in the ocean. Most glass found in the USA dates from the 1800's to the 1960's. It starts as wine bottles, dishware, art glass, windows, canning jars, ink bottles etc that end up in the ocean. The glass breaks up and becomes soft as the tide and waves move the pieces around the ocean floor. From a colonial era onion bottle to a 1930's coke bottle, there is a little bit of history infused in each piece.

The peak production periods for soft green glass was from the 1880's to 1930's. And the rarer Forest Green from the 1700's to 1900's.

I collect all my sea glass by hand and it is all in the shape that I find it on the beach. None of it is machine tumbled or shaped.
