Pair of signed Marion Bronze bookends, modeled after Rodin's sculpture, 'The Thinker'. The Marion Bronze Co. was known for their beautifully painted and highly polished electroformed bookends; their molds were bought from Pompeian Bronze in 1921. They operated in New Jersey from 1921-58. I have not confirmed the year for these but in comparing designs, I believe these are late 40s.

+ Measures (each): 3" wide x 3.5" deep x 7" tall (heavy)
+ Fair vintage condition with only one bookend that has visible wear. The bronze cladding on this bookend has a fracture at the base of the man (see last photos); price reflects this.
+ Marked: 'MB' on the back bottom corner of both
+ Most shipments sent USPS Priority. Contact for international shipping quote!
+ Will reimburse for shipping costs if they exceed quote by more than $2.
