This is a remarkable street map and tourist guide of New York City, published in 1934.

The pocket guide folds out to a large (17 x 27 inch) color street map of New York City.

On the back of the map the 1930's tourist to the Big Apple could find information on such points of interest as Airfields (long before JFK!), Baseball Parks (Ebbets Field!), Broadcasting Studios, Dance Halls, Libraries, Museums, Churches, and Foreign Consulates (for all your visa needs)!

It also includes a map of the Interborough Rapid Transit, and a list of "Foreign Quarters and How to Reach Them" including the 'Italian Quarter' 'Chinatown' and 'Ghetto' (?!)

This incredible map & guide is in excellent condition, with some light wear along the folds and edges (I found it at an estate sale here in California and it appears to have been carefully stashed away since it's original use in the 30's) I bought it for mixed media collage use, but I don't have the heart to ever cut it up - this is too fine a collectible for any lover of New York!
