A fantastic pair of eye-wateringly bright orange glass bowls, made in Bohemia or the Czech Republic between 1910-30.

These stunning rose bowls are hand-blown and have applied black glass tripod legs, making them look freakily like sputniks or alien space probes...

The deep orange is known as Tango Glass, and was used by many glassworks in the region at that time, the most famous being Loetz.

They are in very good condition, but one has had a repair to one leg (see upside-down pic), which is hardly noticeable and quite stable. There are no other chips or cracks, just a couple of tiny pinpricks on the rims.

The largest measures 12.5 cm/5" high and about 10 cm/4" wide, the other is about 0.5 cm shorter. Together they weigh 552 gms, and the estimated packaged weight is 1000 gms .
