In ancient Gotland Sweden (Island) Thor was said to have lived and traveled through a portal to Jotunheim somewhere on the Island, elsewhere in Swedish lore it was said Thor had two stone hammers and when he through them they would stay where they landed.

This amulet play off of the oldest Thor tales where he has two hammer's and also plays off the Baltic and Slavic tales of Thor also called Perun where he has an AXE-Hammer like weapon.
In ancient prehistoric Europe the veneration of an Axe-Hammer wielding thunder God is well over 70,000 years old. The Yggdrasil coin is very nicely detailed and shows both Migration age styling as well as Viking age coin styling of a very detailed Yggdrasil made of stylized rope work.
Coin and axes are 2 sided.

The theme of the piece is Thor defending the pillar (Yggdrsil) of creation.

A truly Baltic piece of Norse jewelry.

Metal is Lead and Nickel Free.
Chain is roughly 22"
