This is cup and saucer made from papier mache, and decorated with small pieces from a manual from 1939 "A 101 Things For a Housewife To Do". The exterior is decorated with decoupaged roses with a Chinese green background painted in watercolour. The whole piece is then varnished for protection. It is slightly charmingly wonky

Inspired by the fact that I love my cups of tea, I wanted to make something that is a reminder of the lovely comfort of tea and harks back to those times of bone china and lace, and also that time when women's work was placed firmly in the home, where she could be creative to her heart's content!

This is one off piece. It is signed on the bottom of the saucer, and it comes in its own special gift box.

Why not start a collection!

The saucer measures 14cm across and the cup stands about 5cm high
