Svärdsbrev Cropped Fleece Hoodie

I designed and drew this piece which is called a Svärdsbrev (Sword Letter) that is used as an amulet for physical protection when worn or carried. This type of magic(k) is called Trolldom, or Norse Folk Magic. This drawing is literally a spell you wear upon your person, and with it brings physical protection. For as long as I can remember, especially in recent times, I've been obsessed with the idea of creating more protection around myself, both in the physical and mental sense, and creating this piece which I can offer to others feels incredibly fulfilling. The magical herbs Wormwood and Anise (two of the three of the "Holy Trinity" in Absinthe) which represent protection surround the characters of a 19th century Norwegian Trolldom to guard against physical and mental harm.

The intricately drawn Svärdsbrev is screen printed by hand in white ink upon the onyx black cropped fleece hoodie which is perfect for spring and summer. The women's sized hoodie is from Bella Canvas, made sweatshop-free and printed locally, consciously and environmentally friendly. The hoodie features a raw edge and dyed to match drawstrings while the poly cotton brushed fleece brings an unmatched level of comfort. This piece is perfect to wear alone or in layered looks.
