Flamidor is one of several quality lighter brands owned and operated by the Quercia Family. Established in France around 1890, Quercia produced their first pocket lighter in 1908. Over the next fifty years, lighters produced by their brands (Abdulla, Flamidor, Flaminaire, and Quericia) were highly regarded for both their quality and innovative, stylish, comfortable-to-use designs. Made around 1930, the Flamidor National II is a wonderfully succinct adaptation of the more common lift arm pocket lighter design. To light - press down on the raised end of the arm to expose the wick, then spin the vertical wheel with your thumb (just as you would with a Zippo). Just flick the arm closed with your finger to extinguish the flame. Designed not have any exposed screws, slide off the aluminum, external case (photo #5) to add fuel and access the flint tube.

Despite a good bit of surface wear, I think this Flamidor is in very nice looking condition -- no notable scratches, dents, or pings. It works perfectly and is suitable for regular use. I've removed soot and char from the arm and snuffer, brushed the file wheel clean, and trimmed/tested the original wick to ensure this hard-to-find French lighter to excellent working condition. It will be shipped with a flint and without fluid. (Please do not store this lighter long-term with the flint though, as it will deteriorate and become impacted over time.) I've provided high quality photos to offer the best preview of this lighter. Please take a look and feel free to ask any questions.
