Feathers from birds found in our northern woods-- barred owl, red-shouldered hawk, ruffed grouse, blue jay, flicker, among others--painted against a pale sky blue background adorn this scarf. The light and airy and slighty sheer Habotai silk makes it feel as if you are wearing a piece of sky around your neck!

The scarf is approximately 8” by 54” and of 100 percent silk with a hand-rolled hem. It was made by drawing the design with a water-based resist and painting with silk dyes which are then steam set to make them colorfast. Each is a signed original work.

Though I may use the same motif for more than one scarf, I always change the elements at least slightly so that each scarf is unique. Of course, being hand painted, I could not make two identical scarves if I wanted to!

This design can be made on an 11” by 60” scarf. Contact me for prices.

Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent and drip dry or roll in a towel. Iron on low.
