IKAT Antique indigo unfinished kimono. There are no sleeves and no collar strip. The garment includes the main front panels (large and small) and the two back panels. Plenty of high quality fabric for your project.

It is a very dark blue, almost black, with a light blue splash pattern. It is hand stitched.

Antique, Showa / Taisho era (early 1900s). Highly collectible folk textile / mingei.

The condition is great, although there is some discolouration from storage. See the last photo. There are some brown spots here and there and some brown discolouration along some of the folds.

The kasuri (ikat) has never been worn or washed so it is still a little stiff. It will become nice and soft when washed. The discolouration may wash out. The dye will run, always wash separately.

**********This listing is for the full garment. Approx 600cm x 32cm when dismantled***********

At least four full panels of 32cm x 145cm have been used to make it
Garment measures 145cm x 54cm when laid flat.
