Yes Australia is full of them! Sheep, but more specifically Merinos. Their lovely puffed up appearance, wool growing down their legs and over their face. You should see some of the photos of prize rams, they can hardly see out they've so much wool! Google 'merino ram' in images and you'll see! The merinos in my mini prints are a bit less hairy. I sketched them a couple of years ago at a winery along the great ocean road, or maybe it was just a restaurant on a hill, I can't remember, but anyway, it had a wee flock of merinos!

This is a dry point etching which means the image is scratched into a thick acetate plate, then it is inked up with thick sticky printmaking ink, wiped back so the ink only sits in the scratched lines and then pulled through a press with dampened paper on top. For each subsequent print the inking up process has to be repeated.

I am making a series of mini prints that aren't available in galleries or shops, they are exclusively for my online shop. Mondays will now be called mini print monday in my studio!
