Journals ordered after December 17th will not arrive in time for Christmas

I am a huge Jane Austen Fan. After reading her letters, novels and many biographies about her, I tried to imagine a pretty journal which emphasized the contemporary periodical fashions of her day. I imagined my first, whimsical Jane journal as a homage to the authoress.

I read Emma later than I had read her earlier, more popular novels. I was amazed at the different tone Miss Austen employed with this novel. I was drawn to Knightley much more so than any of the other heroes, and he remains my favorite male character. I agonized over Emma's meddling with Harriet Smith and rolled with laughter over the hapless Mr. Elton. But, the picnic on Box Hill revealed an entirely new level of awareness in the development of the English novel. Emma's treatment of Miss Bates made Emma a fallible human, one who eventually learned from her mistakes. This depth is what makes Emma my favorite JA novel.

And so, I have created a journal devoted entirely to Emma. It even contains a Mr. Knightley, appropriately placed at the rear of the book! If you would like to see the other pictures I have, please ask and I will send them to you. The journal is peppered with quotes from the novel.

This journal is made from creamy shades of ecru with pale touches of sun washed blue and the palest of pinks. Each journal comes with a two library pockets which you can place as you choose. Tuck a special thought into the hidden pocket toward the end of journal, or attach a picture with the photo corners that are included. Personalize your journal with your own handwriting and thoughts.

Several tags also come with the journal so that you can easily pop one in your purse to have handy for recording your thoughts and then easily returning them to the journal.

Unique and quite different. Designed to be a special, personalized gift or a concise place to save your special reflections.

The journal is one of a kind. All papers are designed by myself and the art comes from my private collection of 19th century fashion plates and with special thanks to E.K. Duncan, who, is also an avid collector of antique fashion plates.

Each journal will be slightly different from the first and will be shipped seven -10 days after ordering as each journal is made to order.
