19th Century French Rosary.

{circa 1890}

Hand carved wooden beads. Thick silver chain. Stunning heart shaped center medal depicting Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. The medal appears sterling, though it is unmarked. The wording is in French.

Full five decade rosary, most likely belonged to someone from a religious order, based upon the style of the rosary and the very large cross with Skull and Cross Bones.

Beautiful, heirloom piece.

Measures just over 20.5"

The beads themselves measure approximately 1/4" in diameter, The Pater beads are a tad bit larger.

Crucifix measures approx. 2 3/4" with bail.

No markings that I can find. There is one tiny repair along the chain that is very difficult to see.
