This pair of cupid pictures are of a real little girl by the name of Josephine Anderson. Made by M.B. Parkinson, they have a copyright date of 1897. The larger picture frame measures 9x11 and at the bottom of the picture wrttin in script is, "Cupid Asleep" and below that is Copyright 1897 by M.B. Parkinson. This large frame has an arrow going through two red hearts at the top. The back has been removed at one time and threre are some scuffs on the wood in front. The smaller picture frame measures 6x8 and the cutout for the picture is in the shape of a heart. This picture has "Cupid Awake" and copyright 1897 on the bottom and also has this written on the arrow shaft. The paper backing has been removed and the bow and arrow on the front has some missing parts.I believe judging by the frames that these two pictures are from very early 1900.
