Charles D. Briddell - From Ancestry.com Charles D. Briddell, Born in Somerset Co. Maryland Aug 22, 1883 and died in 1938. In the 1900 census at age 16 he listed occupation as Blacksmith. In 1910 he said Mfg. of Oyster Knives. In 1920 he said Blacksmith.

A very rare original Eastern Shore, Maryland Oyster Shucking knife. The wood handle is nicely weathered and the blade has a nice patina - held together by a brass blade cap.

The knife measures 6 inches long.
