This vintage 1950's tooled leather handbag is a deep rich red color. It has beautiful floral tooled elements on the front and back. The front has a notch on the left side. The edges are all whip stitched with no flaws. The bag is closed by tucking a flap on the front cover into a slot that protrudes from the front of the bag. Lifting the front cover, there are two compartments secured with snaps: one for ID and one for paper. The inside of the bag features three sections, with the middle section secured by a zipper. There is also a zippered pocket in the rear section. The back of the bag has a nice shaped pocket that runs the whole length of the bag. The straps feature a snap and loop system so that the bag can be used at a 9" inch strap length for handbag or a 14.5 inch length for shoulder bag. The bag is rectangular, measuring 10 inches wide x 6.5 inches high and 3 inches deep. The bag is fully lined in leather. This bag is in excellent condition, but smells a bit musty.
